Being a poll worker is one of the most important actions you can take this election. By working the polls, you ensure people in your community have their voices heard safely and efficiently. Bonus: the age requirement is only 16 AND you get paid.

Now that you're a policy wonk, have a policy discussion with a friend of family member. Ask first what issues they care about and why. Listen. Then share your thoughts and findings. The challenge is to stick to the issues and find common ground.
X Take a selfie or screenshot to pass, go.
HASH IT OUT
You've got issues. Write them down. Examples include Climate Change, Racial Justice, Student Debt, Healthcare, Jobs, Reproductive Rights, and Education. Next, go to your Presidential nominee's website and read their policy proposals on each of these issues.
X Screen shot a policy proposal you support to pass, go.
MAKE A VOTING PLAN
You don't need a wine cave or a celebrity guest list to fundraise! All you need is an event and/or something to sell. We recommend hosting a virtual happy hour for people to talk about the issues and donate together. You can also sell art, baked goods, or a personal challenge. If you're feeling really bold, see what happens if you Venmo request your friends and family.
X Screen shot your fundraising initiative to pass, go.
FUN-DRAISE
Talking to people in your direct network is the #1 way to activate voters. So make it a regular habit to text friends, family, coworkers, acquaintances, frenemies, and exes. Ask them if they're registered to vote, if they have a plan to vote, and if they know who/what they are voting for. Text so many people, you eventually get to the last person you want to text - then text them.

In 2020, digital events are a fantastic way to learn and volunteer for campaigns. These days there are constant panels, parties, and virtual training sessions. To see what all the rage is about, "event" + a candidate you are interested in. You can also visit orgs like When We All Vote or NextGen for regular text-banking raves and DJ sessions.

Don't interrupt! Just kidding, watch the debate and interrupt as much as you want from the comfort of your own home. The goal here is to get informed (if possible) and witness an important part of the political process.
X Post a picture of the debate or alongside the best thing your candidate said or something new you learned to pass, go.

Aside from face-to-face canvassing, phone-banking is the single most effective way for campaigns to get out the vote. Although it may seem intimidating at first, once you get the hang of it, speaking directly to voters can be empowering and enjoyable. You can phone bank for any campaign, anywhere, any day of the week. Just Google your candidate + Phone-banking. X Post about the best convo you had to pass, go.

FOLLOW YOUR REPS
Now that you've researched your ballot, share some of your findings online. Many people do not take the time to thoroughly review ballot measures and down-ballot candidates so you have a real opportunity to persuade some voters. The internet will thank you for a clear, constructive post!

The way it works is everyone researches a single measure or candidate beforehand, a host compiles everyone's findings, and the night-of, your group reviews the information and discusses.

Ever receive a text from a campaign? Cool. There was a real live human on the other end of the phone. What's even cooler: you can be one of those people sending out template texts and having conversations with voters. All it takes is hitting "send" over and over and over again. The nice thing is you can text whenever, wherever, and with as many auto responses as you like.
